An upscale retailer in the fashion sector in spousal ownership.  Following a successful expansion which saw the company open outlets across the UK the founders felt the time was right to begin the exit process; their chosen route, Employee Ownership.

Issues

Whilst a Succession Plan has been put in place the business is expected to be dependent on the (high profile) lady founder for the duration of the deferred period – her untimely death would bring unwelcome financial and commercial consequences.
